Gold output of Khabarovsk region hit a historical record of 24.8 tons in 2018, the regional government said.

“In 2018, production of gold grew by 7%, to 24.8 tons. This was an absolute historical record for the region. A company producing tin metal also showed good results, its amount of production grew by 50%, to 1,500 tons,” the government said.

Investments in the mining industry in the region amounted to 22.2 billion rubles. A new ore-dressing plant was launched by Amur Zoloto on the Perevalnoye deposit with the capacity of 1.8 tons of gold per year.

The production plan for 2019 stands at 24.9 tons, 200 kilograms of platinum and 1,600 tons of tin metal. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
