The government of Uzbekistan has drawn up a plan of prospecting works to increase gold reserves from 2020 to 2024 by 474 tons.

According to the plan, the gold reserves have to increase due to the opening and the further development of new gold deposits.

As of the end of 2019 the gold reserve has to grow to 89.7 tons.

In 2017 gold output totaled 89.9 tons. But in 2018 Uzbekistan exported $2.9 billion worth of gold. Last year the country foreign reserves decreased by $511 million, to $25.98 billion, of which $14.96 billion accounted for gold. (Ukrainian metal)
