Sustainalytics, one of the key rating agencies of the ESG sphere, has increased Severstal rating from 54 to 70 points (of the 100 possible), giving it the 8th place among 42 metal companies all over the world.
Severstal has also been awarded the “Advanced Company” title.
This year Severstal intends to increase investments in environment projects and spend over 825 million rubles.
Since last year, the group has started revealing its information in the ESG sphere, and in October 2018 the board of directors determined a list of long-term tasks in the labor, industrial and environmental safety and protection. (Ukrainian metal)
