The Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) Victor Rashnikov said that MMK would allocate 300 million rubles to relocate residents of the housing in Magnitogorsk that were affected by the accident on December 31, 2018.
MMK has already donated around 100 million rubles to the victims, as well as to the dedicated fundraising account opened to address urgent needs.
In the first hours after the tragedy, the MMK Group joined the search and rescue operation and recovery efforts. More than a hundred of the company’s employees worked around the clock at the scene of the accident along with MMK’s specialized equipment. (MMK/Ukrainian metal)
