In 2018 Ukraine exported 15.04 million tons of ferrous metals via ports, up by 6.7% YoY.
In particular, pig iron exports grew by 30.7%, to 2.977 million tons. At the same time rolled metal exports dropped by 2.5%, to 8.903 million tons and scrap by 1.7%, to 81.05 thousand tons.
Iron ore exports decreased by 6.5%, to 18.245 million tons and coke – by 97.9%, to 3.62 thousand tons.
All in all, metal products exports via ports last year fell by 1.4% YoY, to 33.289 million tons.
In particular, the Port Yuzhniy exported 17.538 million tons of metal cargo, Mariupol – 4.112 million tons, Odessa – 3.493 million tons, Izmail – 3.212 million tons, Nikolayev – 2.925 million tons, Chernomorsk – 1.028 million tons, Olvia – 513.6 thousand tons, Kherson – 277 thousand tons, Berdyansk – 186.8 thousand tons and Skadovsk – 2.5 thousand tons.
