In December 2018 Ukraine produced 1.89 million tons of steel, 1.83 million tons of pig iron and 1.52 million tons of rolled metal, all up by 14%, 12% and 3% YoY respectively.
The output increase is due to the completion of repairs at some enterprises.
Also, last year Ukraine produced 60.32 million tons of iron ore concentrate, down by 0.3% YoY, 31.68 million tons of sinter, up by 3%, 21.36 million tons of pellets, up by 6%, 10.83 million tons of bulk coke (6% moisture), up by 4%, 20.56 million tons of pig iron, up by 5%, 21.1 million tons of steel, up by 1%, 18.36 million tons of rolled metal, up by 3%, and 1.1 million tons of pipes, up by 6%.
