Karelsky Okatysh has put into operation the second stage of the complex to thicken tails.
It will decrease electricity expenses and environment impact.
The first stage was commissioned in 2016 and allowed thickening some 30% of tails. The stage comprises 2 thickeners with the diameter of 36.5 meters.
The second stage is a thickener with the diameter of 48 meters. With its commissioning the thickening increased by 5-7%, to 50%.
Investments in the project totaled 1.3 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
