In January-September Kamchatka sold 16 thousand tons of coal, down by 12.5% YoY.
Only one company in the region is mining coal – Palana-ugol LLC. The company is developing the Palana deposits.
Last year Palana-ugol sold 20 thousand tons of coal. This year the sales are expected at the same level.
The company has been developing the deposits since 2007.
The coal, the reserves of which are estimated at 2 million tons, is mined from the open pit. (Ukrainian metal)
