The Federal Antimonopoly Service has initiated a case against railroad wheel manufacturers – Vyksa Iron and Steel Works and NTMK.

They are suspected of setting monopoly high prices for wheels.

The service reported a considerable increase in price since H2 2017.

In April the Eurasian Economic Committee increased antidumping duty for Interpipe wheels from 4.75% to 34.22% at the complaint from VMZ and NTMK in 2016. The service believes the market participants took the advantage of this and increased the price of their own wheels. (Ukrainian metal)
