In January-September Ukraine decreased scrap exports by 4.1% YoY, to 307.922 thousand tons, valued at $100.29 million, up by 34%.
According to the customs statistics, in September Ukraine exported 7.59 thousand tons of scrap, in August – 19.05 thousand tons, in July – 10.939 thousand tons, in June – 19.359 thousand tons, in May – 34.537 thousand tons, in April – 76.331 thousand tons, in March – 53.668 thousand tons, in February – 52.634 thousand tons and in January- 33.814 thousand tons.
At the same time in January-September Ukraine increased scrap imports by 66.9%, to 29.393 thousand tons, valued at $26.563 million, up by 56.8%.
The main suppliers of scrap were Turkey (72.36%), Russia (8.08%) and South Korea (7.9%), while the main importers – Moldova (64.33%), Turkey (33.63%) and the Netherlands (1.2). (Ukrainian metal)
