ArcelorMittal Temirtau has been fined for 1.3 billion tenge for the damages to the environment.

The suit has been submitted to a commercial court following the unscheduled inspection by the prosecutors and environment specialists on the basis of the letter from the Temirtau akim (governor).

The inspection found multiple violations of the environment protection legislation.

In particular, the violations were connected with the air and water pollution. (Ukrainian metal)
