Karabashmed has put into operation the first of the three new converters.

Investments in the construction of the converter shop totaled 1.1 billion rubles.

The work started in October 2017.

Three Kumera converters with the volume of 150 tons each have been assembled at the shop. They will increase output by 25%, to 150 thousand tons of copper, while decreasing environment impact.

Since 2004 Russian Copper Company has invested over 18 billion rubles in Karabashmed modernization. (Ukrainian metal)
