The representatives of several state coal enterprises have started a meeting near the Ministry of energy and coal industry demanding their salary debts to be cleared and the coal industry reanimated.

According to them, the document signed by the energy minister Igor Nasalik on the clearing of the 1.5-billion UAH debt to state miners is not carried out.

The Gorskaya mine employees in Lugansk region have not been paid salary for 5 months.

State mines yield coal at $60 per ton. At the same time coal for power plants is purchased in the US and Africa at $100-120 per ton.

Miners believe the minister has betrayed their interests and the interests of the national economy and thus has to resign. (Ukrainian metal)
