In January-June Kapan Mining and Processing Works, a part of Polymetal International plc, processed 312 thousand tons of ore as opposed to 246 thousand tons a year ago. In Q2 ore processing grew to 158 thousand tons from 132 thousand tons in Q2 2017.
In Q2 gold contents in ore totaled 2 g, down by 23% YoY, silver contents – 34 g, down by 25%, copper – 0.32%, up by 2%, and zinc – 1.48%, up by 13%.
Gold output reached 7.7 thousand ounces (14.2 thousand ounces in H1), silver – 0.1 million ounces (0.2 million ounces), copper – 0.4 thousand tons (0.8 thousand tons) and zinc – 1.6 thousand tons (3 thousand tons).
