Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has been visited by the participants of the First Conference on Industrial and Scientific Cooperation between the Chelyabinsk region and the Chinese province of Heilongjiang.
The goal of the visit was to get acquainted with the operation of the rail-beam mill.
In May the works produced a trial batch of 100-meter rails, which could be used in high-speed railroad construction. At present they are being certified.
ChMK intends to export them. (Ukrainian metal)
