58 years ago, on July 3, ArcelorMittal Temirtau produced the first Kazakh pig iron. This day is considered the birthday of the leader of Kazakh metal industry.
Now the company is the only enterprise in Kazakhstan with the complete metal cycle.
It occupies the area of 5 thousand ha.
Since July 1960 the blast furnace shop has produced 198.7 million tons of pig iron. By 2019 it is planned to have reached 200 million tons.
In H1 the works produced 1.9 million tons of pig iron, up by 24 thousand tons YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
