In May Russia produced 4.465 million tons of pig iron, up by 3.9% YoY, with 4.32 million tons produced in April.
In January-May pig iron production totaled 21.745 million tons, up by 0.5% YoY.
Ukraine decreased pig iron output by 0.6% YoY, to 1.582 million tons (1.649 million tons in April), but increased by 7.7% YoY, to 8.521 million tons in 5 months.
Kazakhstan produced 335 thousand tons of pig iron in May, up by 10.6% YoY (325 thousand tons in April), and by 2.6% YoY in 5 months, to 1.565 million tons.
All in all CIS states in May produced 6.382 million tons of pig iron, up by 3.1% YoY (6.294 million tons in April), and 31.831 million tons in January-May, up by 2.5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
