Severstal is modernizing the extraction machine in the SSM-Tyazhmash mass production shop.
The cost of the project is over 20 million rubles.
The shop is situated on the territory of the Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works. The machine is being assembled at the site of the electric arc furnaces used to produce powder pig iron.
The project is a part of the program till 2025 aimed at decreasing impact on the city of Cherepovets environment.
The dust emission is expected to decrease by 260 tons per year. (Ukrainian metal)
