Severstal has successfully mastered the manufacture of innovative cold-resistant strips of K60 class at the mill-5000 of the sheet-rolling shop at the Kolpino site.

The rolled metal can be used under extremely low (up to -42 degrees C) temperatures. Such a technique has never been used in Russia before.

The rolled metal was supplied to Chelyabinsk Pipe Rolling Plant, of which ChTPZ produced and shipped 47 pipes (184 tons) with the wall thickness of 19.3 mm and 127 pipes (990 tons) with the wall thickness of 27.3 mm.

The pipes will be used in the construction of the Sila Sibiri (Power of Siberia) pipeline. (Ukrainian metal)
