Metalloinvest is modernizing the arc-furnace shop at Ural Steel.
A contract has been concluded with Tenova (Italy) for the delivery of 2 arc-furnaces. They will be switched to the technique of FMF (flexible modular furnace), which zeroes the consumption of electrodes and electricity.
The commissioning of the furnace No. 2 is scheduled for Q1 2019, and of the furnace No. 1 for Q3 2019.
Investments will total 2 billion rubles by 2020. (Ukrainian metal)
