Managers of Ural Steel have participated in the commissioning of a briquetting line at the Akkermann Metal YuUGPK.

The manufacture of high-strength briquettes is a novelty in the strategy of secondary slag processing. They are made of metal concentrate and cement with the addition of anthracite, magnesite, slurry and other agents.

The capacity of the new line is 30 tons of briquettes per hour, or 150 thousand tons per year.

“We supply limestone to UralSteel and get from them metallurgical slag, which we use in the production of cement, and now also briquettes”, the South-Urals Mining and Processing Company (YuUGPK) CEO Konstantin Morozov said. (Ukrainian metal)
