Rosterminalugol, operator of Russia’s largest dedicated coal port (run by Port Management Company, PMC LLC) has shipped 10 million tons of export coal year-to-date.
According to the stevedoring company, the milestone ton was loaded onto the Panamax ship Robert Oldendorff. This result was achieved on June 8 (in 2017 – on June 12). From the beginning of May the terminal has handled 7 bulk cargo carriers (from the year beginning – 135).
In 2017 coal throughput of Rosterminalugol grew by 38% YoY, to a record high of 25 million tons (over 60% of coal exports through the ports of Russia’s Baltic Basin). (PortNews/Ukrainian metal)
