In January-April Armenian metal industry showed decrease of 14.4% against the growth of 9.4% in January-April 2017.

According to the National Statistics Service, ferromolybdenum output dropped by 34.5% YoY, to 2439 tons. In April Armenia produced 545 tons of ferromolybdenum, down by 45.3% MoM.

Molybdenum concentrate manufacture grew by 1% YoY, to 3964 tons, with 898 tons produced in April alone, down by 10.6%.

Blister copper output dropped by 0.9%, to 3914 tons, but increased in April by 15.6%, to 895 tons. Copper concentrate manufacture decreased by 18.5%, to 111 thousand tons, with 28.6 thousand tons produced in April, up by 0.4% MoM.

Armenia produced 4015 tons of zinc in January-April, up by 41.1% YoY, and 1230 tons in April, up by 4.2%.

Aluminum foil output grew by 9%, to 10832 tons, but dropped by 43.4% MoM in April, to 1872 tons.

Steel pipes manufacture increased by 3.9% YoY in 4 months, to 3029 tons, but fell by 45.8% MoM in April, to 493 tons.

All the metal produced is exported, mostly to Europe and USA. (Ukrainian metal)
