Severstal has completed assembly of the new heating furnace in the blanking shop of SSM-Tyazhmash.
“The cost of the investment project exceeded 55 million rubles. Innovative materials and techniques allow saving up to 40% of gas as well as increasing product quality”, Severstal Russian Steel CEO Vadim Germanov said.
The operating temperature of the furnace is 1250-1300 degrees C. It can accommodate up to 12 slabs with the combined weight of 12 tons. (Ukrainian metal)
