Toshkent Metallurgiya Zavodi (TMZ) and the Russian MetProm have signed an agreement with the Italian Danieli to supply a range of machinery to the Tashkent Iron and Steel Works, which is under construction.

The works will receive a cold-rolling mill with the capacity of 500 thousand tons per year and the dip-galvanizing line and coating line with the capacity of 300 thousand tons per year.

The Tashkent Iron and Steel Works is supposed to produce galvanized and coated rolled metal with the thickness of 0.3-1.2 mm and the width of 800-1250 mm for the construction industry, household appliances and machine-building.

The works is expected to be put into operation in stages during 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
