According to its program of machinery modernization Zaporozhkoks is carrying out a capital repair of the coke battery No. 5.
The repair valued at 73 million UAH is expected to be completed by November.
“As the result of the repair we will considerably increase the lifetime of the machine and improve its conditions. We will also be able to increase coke output and decrease energy expenses”, the company CEO Vitaly Litovka said.
The capacity of the coke batteries Nos. 5-6 is 720 thousand tons per year.
In 2017 Zaporozhkoks repaired 26 coking chambers of the coke batteries Nos. 5-6 with the investments on the level of 68.8 million UAH.
The project to reconstruct all the coke batteries with the total budget of 250 million UAH will be carried out in stages by 2021. (Ukrainian metal)
