Ukraine: EMSS ships rolls to ABB

Energomashspetsstal has produced a batch of rolls for ABB.

The total weight of the batch is 85 tons.

The rolls will be used to produce electric engines.

Ukraine: state mines not to get state guarantees

The Cabinet of Ministers has postponed the decision to provide state coalmines with state guarantees on their loans of 1 billion UAH.

According to the Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman, this issue will be addressed later.

State guarantees should have been given to the Mine named after Surgay, Pervomayskugol, Lvivugol, Toretskugol and Selidovugol. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: ZEMZ masters new steel product manufacture

Zlatoust Electrometallurgical Works has mastered the technique to produce round rods of heat-resistant chromium-nickel-manganese steel of EP750-SH grade.

The rods have the diameter of 85-160 mm.

It should be noted that the first batch of EP750-SH steel rods was produced back in December 2017. (Ukrainian metal)

Russia: coal and ferrous metals throughput in seaports up in January-April 2018

In January-April the throughput of Russian seaports totaled 260.1 million tons, up by 3.7% YoY.

According to the Association of Sea Trade Ports of Russia, coal throughput grew by 3.4%, to 49 million tons, and ferrous metals – by 11.1%, to 10.8 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
