In January-April Ukraine imported 7.437 million tons of coal valued at $1.004 billion, up by 53.9% and by 30.3% YoY respectively.
According to the State Fiscal Service, Russia supplied $643.58 million worth of coal (64.08% in the total imports), USA – $288.411 million (28.72%), Canada – $48.365 million (4.82%), and other countries – $24.003 million (2.39%).
This year Ukraine intends to import 5.668 million tons of power-generating coal, up by 11.3% YoY, including 4.881 million tons from Russia (+29.6%), 664 thousand tons from USA (+47.7%) and 123 thousand tons from the South African Republic (-83.8%).
In January-April Ukraine exported 43.491 thousand tons of coal valued at $7.819 million, including $4.597 million to Russia, $3.201 million to Slovakia, $0.011 million to Hungary and $0.01 million to other countries. (Ukrainian metal)
