As for business community we have to obviously pay attention to the enterprises, involved in iron ore extraction and steelmaking. A visit to the plant of ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih was a good opportunity for my team and myself to better understand the challenges facing the international company in this region and to explore ways how we could better adapt the EU’s cooperation programs to the needs of the population of Kriviy Rih”.
Vinay Tiwari, Chief Technical Officer PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih: “It’s an honor for us to have such guests. The growth of our company is the value addition to the economy of Ukraine itself. It’s a value addition to the people, who have been working here for many years, people who spend their entire life in producing metal here. We are modernizing this plant by putting up the latest technologies, so that the plant gets the new life and future generations can keep on working here still producing steel. One of our investment projects, which we visited today, is a part of our big investment program till 2022. We are in good progress of construction of two new continuous casting machines. We will be able to produce additionally about 3 million tons of continuous cast billets through this route. This will help us not only in getting good quality billet for our valued customers, but also help us to improve our productivity”. (AMKR/Ukrainian metal)
