Gold mining company Nordgold, controlled by Russian businessman Alexei Mordashov, has launched construction of a processing plant – the key facility of the Gross gold mine in the republic of Yakutia, the company said in a statement on April 19.

The plan’s projected processing capacity is 12 million tons of ore per year. The company plans to launch gold production at the Gross mine in July-September, and it plans to produce 200,000 ounces of gold per year at the mine in the next 17 years. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
