In January-June, Ukraine increased exports of pig iron by 47.5% YoY, to 883.17 thousand tons.
According to the State Customs Service, 682.19 thousand tons were exported to the USA, up by 51%, 106.54 thousand tons to Italy, up by 190.2%, and 21.98 thousand tons to Poland, down by 26.6%.
In Q2, exports grew by 81.4% YoY, but decreased by 5.4% QoQ, to 429.29 thousand tons.
In June, pig iron exports decreased by 9.6% MoM, but increased by 59.8% YoY, to 146.76 thousand tons.
USA received 100.6 thousand tons (-4.7% MoM and +101% YoY), Italy – 30.99 thousand tons (+210% and +520%) and Poland – 4.98 thousand tons (100.8% and 39.7%).
Export revenue in June amounted to $58.86 million, down by 8.4% MoM, but up by 61.7% YoY. In January-June, revenue grew by 54.6%, to $349.41 million, while in Q2 – by 84.7% YoY, but decreased by 5.2% QoQ, to $170.01 million. (Ukrainian metal)
