The researchers from the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy have found gold-containing minerals at the Maletoyvayam deposits in Kamchatka.
The prospecting was carried out at the order of the research company Elekhim.
In particular, the new type of mineral contained compounds of gold with tellurium, sulfur and selenium.
Gold can be found with silver impurities, mercury, copper and palladium. Sometimes with tellurium and very rarely with sulfur. But this is the first time when gold-selenium compound is found. (Ukrainian metal)
