Chelyabinsk Iron and Steel Works has finished a large-scale overhaul of the gas-purifying equipment in the oxygen-converter shop.
The repair will improve the level of environment safety.
The shop operates 3 converters and an arc furnace, which jointly produce over 3.9 million tons of steel per year, as well as 4 continuous casting machines with the capacity of 3.5 million tons of steel billets per year. (Ukrainian metal)
