Chepets Mechanical Works has for the first time in Russia started manufacturing hafnium oxide.

The company own hydrometallurgical wastes of zirconium manufacture are used as raw materials.

“For the first time we have obtained the refined hafnium oxide with 99% purity from our own raw materials. The technology has been developed by the specialists of the Central research laboratory of the works together with the employees of the hydrometallurgical shop. In 2017 we produced and sold 1 million rubles worth of refined hafnium oxide powder”, the research engineer Vladimir Kochugov noted. (Ukrainian metal)
