In October, according to the Customs Statistics, Russia exported 12.3 thousand tons of corrosion-resistant steel scrap and waste valued at around $12.5 million, up by 10.4% MoM and by 18.3% YoY.

Moreover, this is the second highest result for the past several years (the largest was recorded in June 2011 – 16 thousand tons).

Revenue increased by 15.4% MoM and by 20.3% YoY.

In September exports dropped by 5.4% MoM, while revenue grew by 2.1%

In January-October Russia exported 81 thousand tons of scrap, up by 17.4% YoY, valued at $78.7 million, up by 14.2%.

Scrap containing 8% or more of nickel accounts for around 70% of the exports. (Ukrainian metal)
