Metinvest will develop coated rolled metal manufacture together with Unisteel Ukraine LLC in the city of Kriviy Rih.
According to Metinvest-SMC marketing director Roman Kurashev, the plant’s capacities are around 100 thousand tons of galvanized sheets per year.
“Unisteel will be commissioned this year. In a couple of days it will start operating. The company has been idle for 6 years. We have strengthened team with out specialists from Zaporozhye and Mariupol”, he said.
This year the company will produce some 5 thousand tons of metal, while the plan for 2018 is 60 thousand tons.
The main sales markets for Unisteel will be Ukraine and EU. The plant will process cold-rolled coils manufactured by Mariupol Ilyich Iron and Steel Works. (Ukrainian metal)
