Energoprom, a part of Renova and the only producer of graphitized electrodes in Russia, will help metal makers.
In 2018 it will increase UHP and SHP electrodes output by one third, to 39.4 thousand tons and will sell around half of the products to metal makers with a 20-30% discount under long-term contracts.
In autumn metal companies complained to the Federal Antimonopoly Service about the 10-fold increase in price of graphitized electrodes, to $25-30 thousand per ton, and their shortage. (Ukrainian metal)
