Gedik Kaynak, a resident of the Neftchala Industrial District, has exported its second batch of electrode products, 100 tons, to Turkmenistan.
The first batch of the same volume was shipped to the country several days ago.
The company plans to gradually ship a total of 600 tons of electrodes to Turkmenistan.
Gedik Kaynak Director Taleh Salmanov reported that the company was registered as a resident of the district in 2021, and the facility currently produced electrodes in eight sizes and two types.
He added that the next stage of the facility’s production included stainless steel and aluminum electrodes.
The annual production capacity of the facility, which is the only electrode manufacturer in Azerbaijan, is 330 tons. The plant, which cost 7.5 million manats to build, has created more than 20 permanent jobs.
The plant’s products are sold domestically under the Geka brand and are also exported to Iraq, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan. Sales negotiations are currently underway in Russia and Kazakhstan. (Report)
