In November Ukraine produced 1.87 million tons of steel, down by 3% MoM.
Pig iron manufacture grew by 2%, to 1.83 million tons, while rolled metal dropped by 6%, to 1.6 million tons.
“A slight decrease of steel and rolled metal output in November has to do with the scheduled and current repairs of the main manufacturing machines, as well as the drop of prices on the world market”, Ukrmetallurgprom reported.
In January-November Ukraine produced 18.2 million tons of pig iron, 19.4 million tons of steel and 16.7 million tons of rolled metal, all down by 16%, 13% and 15% YoY respectively.
At the same time, enterprises on Ukraine-controlled territory in 11 months produced 17.7 million tons of pig iron, 18.9 million tons of steel and 16.3 million tons of rolled metal, all down by 2%, 1% and 2% YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
