Karabashmed is finishing the commissioning of the new mechanized raw copper pouring line.
The trial starts of the line demonstrated a 2-fold decrease of pouring time – from 2 hours to 1.
“This has allowed us to increase output and decrease delay time of the converter when the metal is poured. Previously because of the delay a problem of metal hardening occurred. Now it has been solved”, the company explained.
The construction of the mechanized copper pouring line is a part of program to decrease pollution. Within the program the gas-purifying system will also be installed. (Ukrainian metal)
