Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant intends to continue modernization.
In particular, the company wants to completely switch to electrolysis bathes made of polymer concrete. This material is long lasting (up to 25 years), resilient and easy to use.
“Now the copper electrolysis shop has ferroconcrete bathes. Every 5 years they need their lining replaced, and every 10 years we have to carry out capital repairs. Each year we spend over 15 million rubles on repairs. So we want to switch to new machinery,” the company chief engineer Alexander Sidorenko noted. (Ukrainian metal)
