The Beloretsk Iron and Steel Works project to produce multi-strand steel ropes has been included in the list of priority investment projects of the Republic of Bashkortostan.

This will let the company receive the additional state support as tax duties and other preferences.

The project, being carried out since 2016, will allow the company to produce ropes with 6-12 strands and the diameter of 22-90 mm as well as extra-strong polymer coating. These products will replace foreign analogues on the Russian market.

The company has already concluded an agreement to purchase the rope machine and the extrusion line. The delivery is expected in April 2018, and the start of the manufacture – in January 2019. (Ukrainian metal)
