On October 21 the Uralelectromed refining division of the chemical-metallurgical shop turned 20. This is the only UMMC enterprise to produce gold and silver ingots.
The first gold ingot was produced on October 18, 1997.
In 2004 Uralelectromed became the first company in Russia to get the Good Delivery status for silver ingots. In May 2006 it was included in the Good Delivery list for raw gold manufacture.
In 20 years Uralelectromed produced 5 thousand tons of silver and 200 tons of gold. (Ukrainian metal)
