Odina is completing its mining of gold at Shugnov deposits. The gold-bearing ore reserves on the site are running low, and the company hopes to obtain licenses to develop new deposits.

In 2005 Odina, one of the few companies to operate solely on investments from Tajik business, received a license to develop Shugnov deposits with the size of 134 ha.

The license expires in 2019, but because of the 2.5-fold output increase last year the reserves are running low faster than expected.

Shugnov gold is considered one of the highest quality in Tajikistan.

Last year the country obtained 5 tons of gold and 3.2 tons of silver, up by 500 kg and by 200 kg YoY respectively. (Ukrainian metal)
