The U.S. Department of Commerce continues an antidumping duty investigation into imports of carbon and certain alloy steel wire rod, originated Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, South Korea, Russia, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates and UK.
The U.S. Department of Commerce said on September 15, that it was aligning the final determinations in the countervailing duty investigations of wire rod from Italy and Turkey with the final determinations in the companion antidumping duty investigations.
The United States International Trade Commission (USITC) that determines if damage has been caused and the U.S. Department of Commerce that establishes the fact of dumping are involved in the investigation.
If the fact of causing damage to the national manufacturer is established, the investigation will go on and the commission will issue the final determinations before January 2, 2018.
