The Yuzhural Group of Companies has sold the Darasun Mine LLC with a large discount – just for $1 million.
At present the mine is not operating.
UGK bought the mine in October 2007 from Highland Gold Mining Ltd for $15 million after a fire that in September 2006 claimed the lives of 25 miners. Since then the group has invested over 10 billion rubles into the mine.
In 2016 UGK mined over 15 tons of gold, up by 9.5% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
