ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has spent some 450 million UAH on the reconstruction of its converter No. 4 in the converter shop.
Previously gas-purifying equipment has been replaced at converters Nos. 5 and 6.
The project has been implemented within the reconstruction of the whole shop with the replacement of gas-purifying equipment, which is a key part of the large-scale investment program.
The program will decrease air pollution by 2.7 thousand tons per year.
At the same time, according to the Environment council of the Kriviy Rih region, 2.7 thousand tons of pollution is just a drop for AMKR, which last year polluted the air with 275 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
