In August Ukrainian metal companies received 270 thousand tons of scrap, down by 20 thousand tons MoM, or 86% of their need.
In 8 months they received 2.1 million tons, up by 6% YoY, but just 89% of their need.
Scrap stocks at metal companies in August decreased by 30 thousand tons, to 110 thousand tons (190 thousand tons as of January).
Scrap exports in August increased by 10 thousand tons MoM, to 70 thousand tons. In January-August Ukraine exported 270 thousand tons of scrap against 233 thousand tons in 8 months of 2016.
Imports in January-August remained on the last year level – 18 thousand tons. (Ukrainian metal)
