Kyshtym Electrolytic Copper Plant is preparing to assemble new conveyers in the copper electrolysis shop. The transport lines will connect the current and additional electrolysis baths.

The system will include 2 universal and 2 accumulative conveyers. The universal reverse transporters with the lifting capacity of 25 tons each will be used to move matrices, matrices with cathode leftovers and anodes. While accumulative conveyers with the lifting capacity of 50 tons each will be used to accumulate anodes and transfer them to the transporting device.

At present all this is done manually. The new transport lines will be operating in automated mode.

The project is carried out within the program to increase copper cathode capacities at KMEZ. For this the company is constructing two additional rows of electrolysis baths (40 baths each). As the result cathode output will increase from 120 thousand tons to 140 thousand tons per year. Investments will total 420 million rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
