The Ministry of energy and coal industry has recommended increasing the sale price of coal from state mines for power-generating companies and combined heat and power plants by 5%, to 2200 UAH per ton (without VAT and transport costs) to make the enterprises profitable.
The corresponding decision was made at the meeting chaired by the minister Igor Nasalik on August 30.
According to the minister, power-generating coal increased in price in April-August.
In May the government approved of the plan to restructure the coal industry providing for making state mines profitable. (Ukrainian metal)
